Engage with leading Swedish and international investigators, patient representatives and healthcare industry in a private evening event at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Barcelona.

We were pleased to host a special evening gathering during the ESMO Congress in Barcelona, which brought together Swedish and global cancer communities. This event, held for the second consecutive year, took place at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Sant Pau Recinte Modernista), in the heart of Barcelona.

Sweden, as a leader in innovation and clinical trials, is renowned for its high-quality healthcare, research, patient engagement, and real-world evidence (RWE). This year, we partnered with Lif - de forskande läkemedelsföretagen, Business Sweden, and the Embassy of Sweden in Madrid to host 120 leaders from the Swedish and global cancer communities.

The evening featured:

  1. Welcoming remarks by Honorary Consul General Mrs. Sofia Geli Stenhammar

  2. An engaging conversation moderated by Anders Edsjö and Ebba Hallersjö Hult, co-leaders of #TestbedSwedenPrecisionHealthCancer

  3. Insightful discussions on Sweden's pioneering role in precision medicine, healthcare innovation, clinical trials, and patient engagement

  4. Networking opportunities that fostered meaningful connections within cancer research and innovation

#TestbedSwedenPrecisionHealthCancer, initiated by Genomic Medicine Sweden, SciLifeLab, and Nollvision Cancer | Vision Zero Cancer, aims to prototype a comprehensive ecosystem for the equitable and sustainable implementation of precision cancer care.

This gathering brought together healthcare professionals, researchers, life science innovators, policy experts, and patient advocates, all working collaboratively to bring meaningful innovation into healthcare systems.

The presence of attendees enriched the dialogue and connections within the realm of cancer research and innovation. The event was a testament to the ongoing commitment to advancing cancer care through international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
