Hälsa och cancervård med precision – har vi kompetensen?
För framgångsrik utveckling och implementering av precisionshälsa/precisionsmedicin krävs kontinuerlig kompetensutveckling samt att nya yrkeskategorier anställs i hälso- och sjukvården. Hur säkrar vi kompetensförsörjningen nationellt för att modernisera cancervården på ett hållbart och jämlikt sätt?
Precisionshälsa drivs av forskning och innovation. För att utvecklingen och implementeringen inte ska fördröjas är det viktigt att snabbt öka kunskapen inom området. Precisionsmedicin är en central komponent inom precisionshälsa som innebär vassare diagnostik, skräddarsydd behandling och uppföljning baserat på individens unika behov och förutsättningar. Ett viktigt mål att sträva mot är att kunna gå från att lindra till att bota och hindra sjukdom. Mer precisa insatser har stor potential att förbättra människors hälsa. Både lidande och kostnader minskar i takt med att vi kan implementera precisionshälsa.
Seminariet arrangeras av Testbed Sweden Precision Health Cancer som etablerades 2021 på initiativ av Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS), SciLifeLab och Nollvision cancer.
Myndigheter, regioner, akademi, näringsliv och civilsamhälle arbetar tillsammans med design och metodutveckling för ökad precision i prevention och diagnostik, effektivare behandlingar, tekniker och arbetssätt.
Health and Precision Cancer Care - Do We Have the Competence?
For successful development and implementation of precision health/precision medicine, continuous competence development is required, as well as the hiring of new professional categories in healthcare. How do we ensure national workforce provision to modernize cancer care in a sustainable and equitable manner?
Precision health is driven by research and innovation. To prevent delays in development and implementation, it is important to rapidly increase knowledge in the field. Precision medicine is a central component of precision health, involving sharper diagnostics, tailored treatment, and follow-up based on the individual's unique needs and conditions. An important goal to strive for is to transition from alleviation to cure and prevention of diseases. More precise interventions have great potential to improve people's health. Both suffering and costs decrease as we can implement precision health.
The seminar is organized by Testbed Sweden Precision Health Cancer, established in 2021 on the initiative of Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS), SciLifeLab, and Vision Zero Cancer.
Authorities, regions, academia, industry, and civil society are working together on design and method development for increased precision in prevention and diagnosis, more efficient treatments, techniques, and approaches.
