Vision Zero Cancer Celebrated 5 Years of Innovation and Impact
Last week, Vision Zero Cancer marked its 5th anniversary with a gathering of 100 healthcare leaders, researchers, and industry partners at Forskaren. The celebration highlighted the organization's remarkable journey in Vinnova's Vision Driven Health program and its significant achievements in cancer care innovation.
Under the leadership of co-founders Ebba Hallersjö Hult, the organization has driven major advances in several key areas, including early lung cancer detection, precision medicine, and advanced radiotherapy. Notable achievements include the development of the VizCan visualization tool and the establishment of Testbed Sweden Precision Health Cancer.
The event featured presentations from prominent figures in Swedish healthcare, including Hans Hägglund, former national cancer coordinator, and representatives from major partners such as Karolinska Institute, AstraZeneca, and Elekta. Their collaborative efforts have strengthened Sweden's position in cancer research and treatment while improving patient outcomes.
As Vision Zero Cancer looks to the future, its commitment to mission-driven innovation and cross-sector collaboration continues to shape the future of cancer care in Sweden and beyond. The evening concluded with jazz performances by Södra Latin High School students, celebrating a half-decade of progress in the fight against cancer.
