A Public-Private Partnership focusing on implementation of precision health in cancer in Sweden is under establishment. SweConnect will be project managed by Vision Zero Cancer in collaboration with Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS).

Yesterday Ebba Hallersjö Hult met Mike Morrissey, Chief Executive, European Cancer Organisation & President, European Society of Association Executives, at the EU Beating Cancer Plan and the EU Cancer Mission conference and continued our dialogue on how Vision Zero Cancer can contribute to the Focused Topic Network of the European Cancer Organisation.

On 7–8th of October, Vision Zero Cancer together with OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation met together with around 60 participants, speakers, and panellists for a Mission-oriented Innovation Bootcamp – a journey into the intersection of mission-oriented innovation and personalised medicine.

In the latest issue of Oncology in Sweden, a number of people from Vision Zero Cancer were interviewed about the beginning, the vision, how it is going to become reality and the importance of collaboration and inclusiveness to make a change.

With national cancer care programs, standardized care processes and accessibility initiatives, cancer control in Sweden has come a long way in recent years. Now the focus will be on research and innovation. Among other things, through Vision Zero Cancer.

Lung cancer is one of the cancers where the fewest patients survive. In Sweden, every year, nearly 4,000 people are diagnosed. Almost as many die. Therefore, innovations in cancer control can make a big difference.
